Taj Mahal is instrumental in putting India on the global map of travel and tourism. It’s not only gorgeous but very mysterious. It’s said that the Taj changes shades with the moods of the weather. No two clicks of The Taj can be the same.

Marble Architecture or a Glorified Cemetery?

It’s not only a beautiful monument but also one of the most revered & frequented cemetery in the world. Emperor Shah Jahan decided to build this monument as a token of love for wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Today, when people from all over the world come to pay a visit to the Taj, you often hear them talking about the love that Emperor Shah Jahan had for his wife, Mumtaj Mahal. While we ruminate about the story of their eternal love, the emperor & his beloved wife lie together – silently – in their tombs inside the lower level of the main chamber. They lived together & they remain together. They must be still in love for death could not keep them apart for long.

Experience at the TAJ:

Enter the premises & catch an eye full of the Taj. Myriad pictures & scenes from books, postcards, calendars & movies will flash before your eyes, but none as beautiful as the wonder in front of you.

While you admire the Arabic inscriptions on the gates & the outlying, mirrored buildings, Mosque & Jawaab, in red sanstone, get yourself a guide. Listen to one of the most known & most told stories of the world while you watch yourself smitten by the eternal beauty that no women can match.

The outside stone inlays, carvings and calligraphy is exquisite. The inside embellishments are even more decorated, finer, refined & detailed. You don’t want to miss anything. They are best enjoyed in silence!

Photography Tips:

1. Early morning, dusk & night clicks are really magical. You might want to catch a glimpse of The Taj in the water canals.
2. Try capturing the same frame after a specific time interval. Like I said, no two clicks are the same. You will be left amazed.
3. Capture the Taj Mahal in full moon.
4. Selfie Tip:  Hello, it’s the TAJ! Click anywhere, you will still look magical.
