I am Yamini. I was born and brought up in Ghaziabad. The travel bug bit me in 2014 and ‘Life on Weekends’ was born in the November of 2015. Like many travel enthusiasts, I also wish to leave everything behind, pack a suitcase & go on a long trip to the far-flung places of India. May be, some day! And if not that, I want to do a Kashmir to Kanyakumari road trip once in my life.
I absolutely love the guts of my friends who have ditched their corporate, well-paying jobs to pursue their dream of travelling and writing. I, however, have no such aspirations. I love my work and do not wish to quit it ever. So, ‘Life on Weekends’ is a bag of travel stories that I mange to live and create whenever and however I manage to take some time off from my work which is mostly long weekends and a couple of vacations in a year.
I love ‘tea’. And if you love ‘tea’, I already like you. I am a big fan of books and movies and can talk to you about it for hours, without getting tired. I love stories & I love writing. On some days, I suffer from extreme laziness and can only get up from bed after getting rebuked from my husband or after receiving a stinker from a dear colleague at work.
Along with my work, I wish to host a travel show some day & publish a lot many books. Until that happens, I am available to share my stories.

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.” – Anthony Bourdain
