“Oh yeah I’ll tell you something
I think you’ll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand”
When the Fantastic Four – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr played ‘I want to hold your hand’ in the 1960s, it was the dawn of a new era. As they balanced the chords & managed the melody’s drop & rise; the music landscape of America got revolutionized. The Beatles experimented with Rock and Roll & gave it a face like never before.
And the world called it Beatlemania.
Oh please say to me
You’ll let me be your man
And please say to me
You’ll let me hold your hand
The 60’s cafe/ Beatle’s Cafe:
Set on the theme of “Let’s roll it again”, 60’s cafe – popularly known as Delmar’s cafe is dedicated to the cause of Beatlemania. Tucked away in the lanes of Rishikesh, near Lakshman Jhula, this cafe provides the best views & good food.
After a day of sight seeing, one can relax in this comfortable cafe over plates of pasta & the best tunes from the past.
And when I touch you I feel happy inside
It’s such a feeling that my love
I can’t hide, I can’t hide, I can’t hide
After I was miraculously saved from drowning in Rishikesh during rafting, I gained my composure back in this little cafe with simple setting overlooking the hills & the city at night. Happiness is found in the simple, little things of daily life. And I found happiness while celebrating life in the Beatle’s cafe over some Italian food & mugs of chai. The rocking numbers from the 60s & the 70s set your mood.
Yeah, you got that something
I think you’ll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand
Must try: Masala Chai at Beatle’s Cafe; best enjoyed after Sunset when you enjoy the view over sips of cardamom, cinnamon and clove.
